Ingrid DuMosch (Vocalist)
Ingrid is a vocalist and vocal arranger with over 15 years' experience as a studio singer and live performer. She lived in Nashville, Tenn. for 10 years, where she had many opportunities as a studio backup vocalist and demo singer to work with top notch artists and songwriters in country music, pop music, contemporary Christian music and southern gospel. She also performed with one of Nashville's most popular variety bands, the Radio Daze Big Band for 10 years. Performing alongside 3 other vocalists, Radio Daze entertained audiences with popular songs from every decade, from the 1930's up to the 1990's.
Thanks to the wonders of digital recording and the internet, she continues her vocal work in her home studio here in Seattle, singing and arranging background vocals for clients based in Nashville, South Carolina, Texas, and various parts of England. She is also pursuing more voice-over work and hopes to start writing a book this year.
In addition to performing with Easy Street, you may also occasionally find her singing at Vertigo Lounge and Grill in Bellevue.
Epaminondas “Nonda” Trimis (Drums)
Nonda" comes from an extensive background in percussion and drums. As a 1980 graduate of California State University with a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance, Nonda studied during his developing years with several renown players including Steve Mitchell(Vince Guaraldi), Gary Nash (Jackie and Roy), Ed Shaughnessy (The Tonight Show), Steve Schaeffer (Dallas, Dynasty LA Studio), and Jerry Steinholtz (Dianna Ross, the Carpenters).
Larry Searles (Trumpet and Flugel Horn)
Larry grew up on the shores of Lake Sammamish in Washington State, graduating from Issaquah High School in 1970. Larry worked his way through school playing trumpet in a five piece swing band called the "Associated Sounds" which stayed together for 23 years. The "Associated Sounds" has become the Easy Street Band and has grown into a 9-peice swing band with an outstanding female vocalist.
Larry graduated from Seattle Central College with an AA degree in Dental Technology in 1972. He began working for three dentists in Issaquah in 1971, from which Issaquah Dental Lab was born. Immediately after graduation in 1972 he began a tradition of countless technical continuing education programs and added many leadership and business courses along the way.
He served four years on the board for the Washington State Dental Lab Association. Larry partnered with George and other lab professionals, working on the development of the outcome skill standards for the dental lab profession. In July 1995 Larry merged Issaquah Dental Lab with Englund Dental Lab. Four years after that they moved to their current facility and fulfilled their dream of opening the Northwest Dental Forum--their long-awaited educational facility. Larry has returned to the shores of Lake Sammamish with his wife, Elise. His past hobbies have included hang-gliding, ultralights, motocross, snow and water skiing, windsurfing, boating, fishing. Today its aerobatics, receiving his private pilot's license in 1979, glider rating in 1980 and float plane rating in 1997. Most recently he completed aerobatic flight training in June 2000 and currently flies aerobatics in a Great Lakes open-cockpit bi-plane. He is currently serving on the King County Donated Dental Services Advisory Task Force.
Doug Polcuch (Baritone and Alto Sax)
Doug played clarinet, tenor and baritone sax through his school years and 2 years of community collage. During this time he played in an eight piece combo, directed a junior high pep band and made several road tours with the community collage jazz band. Since then he has married, had two kids and joined with the Easy Street Band. He's been with Easy Street for 20 years.

Loretta Brown (Piano)
Loretta was born with a deep desire to play the piano, make sound, and bring song and joy to the world! She learned to walk by crawling up the leg of a piano and playing the keys. Her first composition was written at age 4, which she entitled "The Storm". Her desire to play was so strong that at age 5, she began to sit at the piano with music books and figure out how to read the notes. She is the 7th of 8 children and there was very little money to direct towards piano lessons, but that didn't matter to Loretta who continued to learn to play by herself until age 13, when she finally got regular piano lessons. Since that time she has played for everything from church to musical theater, and has played worldwide as an accompanist to many great singers and choirs.
Loretta lived in Saudi Arabia for over 8 years and during that time was the Resident Accompanist for the U.S. Ambassador's Residence. She also was hired to give piano lessons to the Saudi princesses and taught music at the International School in Riyadh to Elementary Children, directing her own choir of 180 voices by audition only. For the last few years Loretta has been studying the effects of music and sound on health, and is a Certified Music Practitioner who plays at the bedside of the ailing and dying. Her original compositions for piano keyboard, and voice are used regularly by massage therapists, Reiki practitioners, sound healers, hospitals, clinics and schools for healing and educational purposes. Loretta continues to play on a regular basis and can also be found at the Sherman Clay Pianos in Bellevue.
Loretta also has a B.A. in Music.
Rick Shillinger (Bass)
Rick is the bass player of the group.He has spent most of his life in the Puget Sound area. Having graduated from Issaquah High School in 1970, along with his twin brother, Rodney, and good friend Larry, he is also one of the original band members of the Associated Sounds. Starting out in the 8th grade and for 23 years they played for weddings and a variety of different organizations.
Rick also plays trumpet and flugel horn. He is active in his church playing his instruments with the worship team and is often called upon to play for special music. In February, 2000, Rick had the opportunity to play with Scott Krippayne, a Christian recording artist.
On Wednesdays and Saturdays Rick enjoys helping to feed and clothe the homeless and less fortunate by working with the Neighbor-to-Neighbor community outreach program in his church.
For 28 years Rick has worked as a professional motion film lab technician. He has processed original negative for such films as The Postman, The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, Benny & Joon, The Assassins, Harry and the Hendersons, The Abyss, and others.
For fun and relaxation, Rick and his wife enjoy going to Ocean Shores and flying stunt kites.
Rod Shillinger(Tenor Sax)
Rod grew up in Issaquah and graduated from Issaquah High School in 1970. UW Alum, with career in healthcare administration. He currently lives in Renton, with a daughter who is graduating from Kentridge High School in 2004. She will be attending PLU (playing basketball too) in the fall. He played saxophone since grade school and started playing in a band in Junior High School. Rod played in a group "Associated Sounds" for 23 years in a variety of settings and events with the same 5 musicians . Hobbies include: camping, participating in his daughter's sports events, gardening, volunteering in the community, and playing music with Easy Street Band, contributing to the bands' success.
Jennifer "Jenny" Goebel (Trombone)
Jenny started playing music when she was five years old in a piano preschool class. As she developed her love for music, she also started the trombone at the age of ten. She played trombone in the Highline Community Band, Quintessence, and toured the East Coast in a select band for the renovation of the Statue of Liberty. She then proceeded to the University of Minnesota to earn a bachelor's degree in Music Education. She taught elementary band in the Kent School District for seven years. While teaching band she earned a master's degree in education from the University of Puget Sound.
Jenny is now happily a stay at home mom, but is still very active in the music community. She continues playing her trombone in Easy Street The Band for the pure joy of playing big band tunes!
Jeff Gilles (Guitar)
Jeff received his first (Silvertone) guitar for his 11th birthday. He has been playing ever since. Jeff grew up playing in rock and roll and blues bands. By the time he was in High School in Mason City, Iowa he was giving guitar lessons at the local music store. Although he bought his first John Coltrane album in 1968, he didn’t start playing jazz until he left college. Jeff grew up in Iowa and graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in film. After spending a few years realizing that, although film was a fun degree, he wasn’t making much headway on becoming the next Truffaut he went back to college for the computer science degree. He then worked for several years as a consultant with Oracle working on projects across the country before starting his own professional services company in Seattle. He sold his company in 1998, started teaching in the software engineering program at Seattle University, and started playing with a number of different local jazz musicians. Jeff has always had a love for 30s and 40s swing music and the pioneering big band guitarists like Freddie Green.
Jeff’s other loves include traveling with his wife, wine, golf and playing Frisbee with the dogs

Stanley H. Hilzer (Guitar)
June 16, 1951- December 20, 2005
On December 20th, 2005 we lost Stanley to cancer. We had 3 great years with Stan, and will miss his smilin' face and his tasty solos, but he will not be forgotten.

In 1959, Began playing guitar at the age of eight.
1964, First professional performance was with a home
town band called the “Movin Marauders” age 13.
1967, Opened for the nationally known American band
“The Byrds” in Cheyenne Wyoming with a group called
“The Rocking Coachmen”
1969, Joined the band “The Drivin Dynamics” two years
after Randy Meisner left the group. Randy would
later become a member of Poco & the Eagles.
1971 Started a group with his brother Steve, called
“the Hilz Brothers Band”, touring the midwest.
1975, Moved to Tucson, Arizona, then to Houston, Texas
and formed a band called “Legal Tender”. This band
headlined with other groups from Austin, Texas at the
now defunct Texas Opera House. This was a main show
case for American & Internationally known bands to
play & show their stuff.
1980, Stan got home sick & returned to Nebraska to
spend time with his only child. In the last days, in
the knick of time before he left Houston, Stan wrote
his best song to date, “I’m Coming to See You”, for
his daughter, April Dawn Hilzer.
1981, Started a country rock group called
“Go-Fer-Broke” after the band lost all of it’s
equipment in a house fire at his mom & dad’s rented
farm.
1986, Stan returned to college playing guitar on the
weekends with a band called “Second Wind”. Playing
with the most talented sax player & musician Stan had
ever known, Marvin Snell.
1991, Stan graduated from the University of Wyoming
College of Engineering with a degree in Electrical
Engineering. He loves amplifiers.
1992, Moved to Seattle, Washington and began playing
in various church groups.
1996, Met Ricky Shillinger while playing in a church
band in Kent, Washington.
2000, Inducted into the Nebraska Rock & Roll Hall of
Fame along with Randy Meisner of the Eagles & Poco, as
a former member of the Dynamics. Check out

He has appeared on over 50 different CDs with different local and national artists including The Jazz Police, Michael Powers, Gary Stroutsos, Phil Sheeran, and Tony Gable. His live performances include backing Eddie Daniels, Ben Vareen, Greta Metassa, Jovino Santos, Blackstone, Kathy Lee Gifford, Carl Saunders, Teatro Zinzani, Marc Seals and performances at the Santa Barbara Jazz Festival, Earshot Jazz Festival and the Moore Theater. In 1998 Nonda was invited to perform with Gary Stroutsos music he co-composed for the Ken Burns movie “Lewis and Clark and the Corps of Discovery” for President Clinton at the White House. Music on the CD Winds of Honor, from which the selections were chosen, has been heard internationally on different NPR syndicated programs including Hearts of Space and Echoes. Songs from the 1998 album continue to be aired on PBS, NPR and Sirus satellite radio. As a percussion instrument maker, his instruments have been played internationally in groups ranging from Julliard and the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra to Madonna and Phil Collins. Nonda can be heard on the local big band scene (when he is not performing with Easy Street) with various ensembles. In this genre he has performed with the Jazz Police, Mojo, Swing Session, Pete Leinonen, Daniel Barry, and the Jim Cutler big band. Nonda’s favorite Big Band Drummers are Mel Lewis, Buddy Rich, and Ed Shaughnessy and he pulls from the styles of these artists to create a concoction of rhythm uniquely his own.
